Dominiques
The Dominique is the oldest U.S. breed and a good dual-purpose bird. They lay a medium sized brown egg. Dominiques are hardy birds that do well when allowed to free range, but also tolerate confinement well. They are extremely good foragers and have a good reputation for egg laying. Standard Cocks are approximately 7 pounds and hens are approximately 5 pounds These birds are calm, genial and easy to work with. They feather out and mature early.
